Itinerary

🇪🇬 Day 1: Cairo

  • Arrival transfer included.

  • Note: Cairo (“The Victorious” in Arabic) is the largest city in the Arab world and Africa, offering a unique blend of ancient and modern attractions.

🇪🇬 Day 2: Giza, Cairo

Morning

  • Pyramids complex tour (Khufu/Cheops, Khafre/Chephren, Menkaure/Mykerinos)
  • Visit to the Sphinx
  • Papyrus Institute demonstration
  • Coptic Quarter tour, including the Hanging Church

Afternoon

  • Citadel of Saladin visit
    • Muhammad Ali Mosque (Alabaster Mosque)
  • Lunch at local restaurant
  • Egyptian Museum tour
    • Features Tutankhamun’s treasures on upper floor
  • Return to hotel

Important Notes

  • Summer visits start earlier to avoid peak heat

    • Built in 1480 on the peninsula

Morning in Alexandria

  • Kom Shuqqafa Catacombs Visit
    • Largest Roman cemetery in Egypt

  • Walking tour through narrow commercial streets
  • Pompey’s Pillar
    • 30-meter tall column above temple ruins
  • Bibliotheca Alexandrina (exterior view)
    • Modern architecture completed in 2002
