Detailed Itinerary

🇨🇳 Day 1: Beijing

  • After completing border and customs procedures, an assistant (usually Spanish-speaking, sometimes English-speaking) will be waiting to provide a transfer from the airport to the hotel. Free time.
  • 6:30 PM – Meet the guide and other group members at the hotel reception.
  • Transfer to Wangfujing Street, a lively pedestrian shopping avenue with many stores and restaurants.
  • Dinner included.
  • Return to the hotel.

🇨🇳 Day 2: Beijing

  • 7:30 AM – Meet at the hotel reception and depart for the Mutianyu area, located about 75 km from central Beijing.
  • 9:30 AM – Arrival at the Great Wall of China (Mutianyu section). This impressive architectural wonder has a history spanning over 2,000 years. Cable car ride (up and down) included.
  • Free time to explore: walk around commercial areas, visit the Great Wall exhibition center, and have lunch at one of the many restaurants.
  • Return to Beijing with a stop at the 798 Art District, a contemporary art hub set in a former military factory.
  • Visit the Temple of Heaven, the largest temple complex in China and one of Beijing’s most original and remarkable landmarks.
  • End the day with a Tai Chi class followed by a relaxing foot massage.
  • Dinner included featuring Peking duck.
  • Return to the hotel around 9:00 PM.

🇨🇳 Day 3: Beijing

  • 7:30 AM – Begin a full-day guided tour of Beijing with entrance fees included.
  • Walk through Tiananmen Square, one of the largest squares in the world, and see the Mausoleum of Mao (from outside). Admire the National Centre for the Performing Arts (Beijing Opera House) from the outside.
  • Visit The Palace Museum (Forbidden City), a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most impressive landmarks in China.
  • Explore Jingshan Park (Coal Hill), one of Beijing’s best-preserved imperial gardens. Climb to the top for panoramic views of the Forbidden City (weather permitting).
  • Lunch included.
  • After lunch, enjoy a tricycle ride (rickshaw) through the traditional Hutong neighborhoods, discovering local lifestyle, visiting small shops, and stepping inside a traditional Siheyuan courtyard home.
  • Visit the Summer Palace, the former summer retreat of the Qing Dynasty imperial family.
  • 6:30 PM – Tour ends. You may return to the hotel by bus or remain in the city center (if so, return on your own; carrying a hotel card in Chinese is recommended for taxis).

Note: Due to heritage protection and visitor safety regulations, the Forbidden City has reduced its daily capacity indefinitely. If entry is not possible, the visit will be replaced with tours of the Beijing Temple of Confucius and the Lama Temple, both highly significant in Chinese history and culture.

🇨🇳 Day 4: Beijing, Nanjing

  • 7:00 AM – After breakfast, transfer to the train station. Board one of China’s modern high-speed trains. Traveling at 300 km/h, the 1,000 km journey to Nanjing takes about 4 hours (scheduled departure: 8:10 AM).
  • 12:30 PM – Arrival in Nanjing. This city of 8 million inhabitants is often considered one of the most pleasant in China, known for its lively commercial and urban atmosphere.
  • Free time for lunch.
  • Visit Purple Mountain, including Dr. Sun Yat-sen’s Mausoleum and the scenic Linggu Tower.
  • Around 6:00 PM – Hotel check-in. Suggested activity: stroll through the city, enjoy its modern vibe, commercial areas, and many restaurants.
