Do I need a passport or special ID for this tour?
Since this East Coast USA tour from New York stays on the American side of the border, U.S. citizens and residents only need a standard government-issued ID. However, for the visit to Arlington National Cemetery, all guests over 18 must present a valid photo ID (Passports are required for non-U.S. citizens). If you’re following our 4-day Niagara Falls itinerary and wish to cross the Rainbow Bridge into Canada during your free time, you will need a valid passport and any necessary visas.
When is the boat ride available, and what is the winter alternative?
The famous Maid of the Mist tour typically operates from late April through early November. If you book this Niagara Falls and Washington DC package during the winter months, the boat ride is replaced with a visit to the Niagara Power Vista and the Cave of the Winds. No matter the season, you’ll get an incredible “behind the scenes” look at the power of the falls!
How much walking is involved in the historic and rural stops?
This trip is designed to be active and engaging! You’ll enjoy plenty of fresh air during the Amish Country Pennsylvania tour, which includes a traditional buggy ride and a visit to the local markets. There is also moderate walking involved during our stops in Philadelphia and at the DC monuments. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes so you can fully enjoy every highlight of this multi-city adventure.
