Itinerary

🇵🇹 Day 1: Lisbon

  • Arrival and hotel transfer
  • Free time to settle in
  • Information about your tour will be provided in the afternoon
  • Check the information boards in the hotel reception for tour details

🇵🇹 Day 2: Lisbon

  • Morning: 2-hour guided city tour of Portugal’s capital

  • Highlights:

    • Explore the “City of Seven Hills” with its charming alleys and azulejo tiles
    • Experience the “Saudade” and Atlantic light
    • Visit Eduardo VII Park
    • Tour Baixa Pombalina (Marquês de Pombal Square, Rossio Square with views of São Jorge Castle)
    • See Alfama district
    • Visit the Estrela neighborhood and Basilica
    • See the Monument to the Discoveries
    • Visit Belém Tower
    • Explore Jerónimos Monastery
    • The tour ends in the city center

  • Afternoon: Free time to explore

    • Recommended: Take the Glória Funicular to Bairro Alto
    • Visit São Pedro viewpoint for beautiful views of Lisbon
    • Optional excursion to Sintra (with castle) and the coastal towns of Cascais and Estoril

  • Evening: Return to hotel at 8:30 PM from Restauradores Square (an area with many restaurants and cafés)

  • 8:00 AM: Depart Lisbon

    • Cross the long bridge over the Tagus River
    • Scenic drive to the Algarve region in southern Portugal

  • 12:00 PM: Arrive in Lagos

    • Historic city from which Portuguese navigators departed to Brazil and India in the 16th century
    • Suggested activities: Walk around the port and city walls
    • Free time for lunch

  • 2:30 PM: Depart Lagos and continue along the Algarve coast

  • 4:00 PM: Cape St. Vincent

    • The westernmost point of the European continent
    • Experience impressive views of ocean cliffs from the lighthouse
    • Observe strong winds and waves where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic
    • Watch ships navigating between the two bodies of water

  • 4:00 PM: Depart Cape St. Vincent

    • Pass through Sagres with an opportunity to see and photograph its fortress from the outside

  • 5:30 PM: Arrive in Albufeira

    • The beautiful coastal city popular with European tourists
    • Enjoy the beaches
